2010 Summer Special

It’s this time of year where I sporadically post entries during the Summer. I had the opportunity to go for more Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest dates compared to last year. I was able to do audio interviews with several artists. It will be provided here. Overall, I was excited to see some of the performing acts. Worse part was enduring the heat.

The Ottawa Folk Festival Edition (Posted on August 18, 2010)

You can listen to the August 18th edition of the radio show. Aside from the top 10 countdown and Arcade Fire songs, there were interviews from Rolf Klausener of The Acorn, Aidan Knight, Jill Zmud, & Jim Bryson.

Apparently, I am taking part in this blog rally challenge, check the blog link out by clicking here. If you like my entry on Ottawa Bluesfest or the radio show, just comment away. Finished on July 26th.

Don’t forget to check out http://wild5countdownckcu.wordpress.com/ as it will be the only blog to be updated weekly during the Summer. I have been mentioning Arcade Fire over on the other blog.

  1. Hi Lenny! I’ve arrived via the Snarky Optimist’s Blog Rally Challenge and after taking a look around your blog … I’m pretty sure we met once before. Did your blog used to be called “Lenny’s World”? If yes, I sat at the same table as you at the Blog Out Loud Ottawa (BOLO) in 2009. Anyhow … thanks for sharing all these clips from the Bluesfest since I didn’t get a chance to catch any of the action this year.

    • You’re definitely correct on all fronts.

Thanks for checking out since the blog did go on a name change “last season.” 🙂

  2. Thanks for posting this, Lenny! Your interviews are great, so genuine and fresh. This is one of the reasons I wanted to poke you to generate some summer content! 😉

I loved the interview with Laurent Bourque, and I am sad that I didn’t get to see him play.

Also… a picture of you and Basia Bulat? JEALOUS.

  3. Holy cow, I need way more time to poke around here than I have available today (came here as part of the Snarky Optimist blog rally). What a fabulous compendium of local indie music stuff! I’ll be back to check it out more thoroughly.

  4. Thanks for the roundup. I completely missed it this year, but at least I can experience some vicarious enjoyment through your effort here.

  5. I was very encouraged to find this site. I wanted to thank you for the brilliant audio interviews of this radio show. I definitely savored every little bit of it and I have you bookmarked to check out new stuff you post.
